Stone Soup Group

Confirmed Profile

Stone Soup Group is a statewide nonprofit that helps Alaskan families caring for children with disabilities and special health care needs navigate the system, and it is staffed almost entirely by parents and family members of those children. It runs parent navigation, the MAP parent mentor program, Family Engagement and Leadership Training, specialty clinics, caregiver and community support groups, and it is the Developmental Disabilities Resource Connection center for Anchorage and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Its resource guide and translated materials are among the few plain-language navigation tools in the state.
