Alaska Senior and Disabilities Services, Provider Certification and Compliance Unit
This unit certifies and recertifies Alaska's home and community-based Medicaid waiver providers and its personal care assistance agencies, investigates complaints against them, conducts compliance reviews, and processes background check variance requests. Certification by SDS and enrollment with Alaska Medicaid are two separate steps and a provider needs both before it can deliver a waiver service.
