Disability Law Center of Alaska

Confirmed Profile

The Disability Law Center of Alaska is the federally designated protection and advocacy agency for the state: an independent nonprofit law firm providing legal advocacy for people with disabilities anywhere in Alaska. It sets annual advocacy priorities with community input and takes cases that fit them. Its funding comes from the federal protection and advocacy programs administered by the Administration for Community Living, SAMHSA, the Rehabilitation Services Administration and the Social Security Administration, which is why it can take cases about abuse and neglect, special education, employment, voting access and benefits.
