Independent Living Center
The Independent Living Center, based in Soldotna, has served seniors and people with disabilities on the Kenai Peninsula and beyond since 1991. It runs eleven programs including the Aging and Disability Resource Center, the Developmental Disability Resource Connection, TRAILS inclusive recreation, VOICE veteran-directed care, low vision services, assistive technology, an equipment loan closet, supported transportation, home modifications, RecWORKS and TABI brain injury services. It has offices in Soldotna, Homer, Seward and Kodiak and names 21 communities in its service area.
