Central Alabama Aging Consortium (CAAC)
One of Alabama's thirteen Area Agencies on Aging, funded through the Alabama Department of Senior Services. It plans and funds Older Americans Act services in its counties, operates the Aging and Disability Resource Center for its area under the One Door Alabama brand, and runs SenioRx, care transitions, long-term care ombudsman and Medicaid Elderly and Disabled waiver case management. Although its primary population is older adults, the ADRC function makes it a no-wrong-door entry point for adults with disabilities of any age. It covers 3 counties.
