F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (Families Reaching, Influencing, Educating, and Networking for Down Syndrome)
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is the Down syndrome parent organization for the Wiregrass, based in Dothan. It provides resources, support and education for families, friends and caregivers of people with Down syndrome, runs a lending library and holds an annual Buddy Walk. Its stated aim is to help people with Down syndrome improve their quality of life through advocacy, education and building a positive public understanding of Down syndrome in the Wiregrass area.
