Alabama Council of the Blind
The Alabama Council of the Blind is the state affiliate of the American Council of the Blind, a consumer membership organization of and for people who are blind or have low vision. It runs an annual state convention and maintains local chapters, including a Birmingham chapter and a virtual chapter, and advocates on behalf of Alabamians with visual impairments.
