Meals on Wheels Montgomery Alabama Metro Area
Meals on Wheels Montgomery Alabama Metro Area is the River Region's home-delivered and congregate meals organization, serving more than 5,000 people a month across Autauga, Coosa, Elmore, Montgomery and Tallapoosa counties, with additional home and community based programs aimed at keeping people living independently. It has operated since 1972 as the Montgomery Area Council on Aging and adopted the Meals on Wheels name in October 2023. Its programs are aimed primarily at older adults, and reach older adults with disabilities and homebound people.
