South Central Alabama Mental Health Center

Confirmed Profile

South Central Alabama Mental Health Center is the Act 310 community authority for Butler, Coffee, Covington and Crenshaw counties and, importantly, is the only organization covering developmental disabilities in all four. Established in 1968, it serves roughly 4,500 people a year across mental health, developmental disability and substance use services, with a psychiatric urgent care center taking walk-ins on weekdays and a 24-hour crisis helpline. It accepts all major insurance and operates a sliding scale so that no one is turned away over cost.
