STAR: Alabama's Assistive Technology Resource / Alabama Partnership for Assistive Technology (APTAT)
STAR is the assistive technology program of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and Alabama's designated state Assistive Technology Act program. It provides information and referral about assistive technology, device demonstrations, short-term device loans, equipment reutilisation through five centers statewide, training and workshops, and alternative financing so people can buy the equipment they need. Anyone with a disability in Alabama, of any age, can use it.
