The Arc of Alabama
The Arc of Alabama is the state chapter of The Arc, a volunteer-based membership organization that advocates for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families at local, state and national level. It supports around thirty independent local Arc chapters across Alabama, runs a legislative action center and policy partners program, provides information and referral to families, and hosts the annual Alabama disABILITY Conference. It is governed by a volunteer board that includes representatives of each local chapter in good standing.
