The Cindy Haber Center, Inc.
The Cindy Haber Center is the Act 310 intellectual disability authority for Baldwin County and the single point of contact for Medicaid waiver intake across seventeen counties of south and west Alabama. Its mobile support coordinators, intake specialists and job developers currently provide support coordination to 921 people in the Medicaid waiver programs. It also runs intensive care coordination for autism, Alabama Early Intervention System services for children birth to three in Baldwin County, autism services for Medicaid-eligible people from birth through age 20, and supported employment with job coaching. It was incorporated in 1994 to separate intellectual and developmental disability services from Baldwin County's comprehensive Act 310 board, starting out in a church in Summerdale with about 29 people.
