The Exceptional Foundation
The Exceptional Foundation provides year-round social and recreational programming for children and adults with intellectual disabilities from a center in Homewood. It runs full-day adult programming, after-school programs for school-age children, summer camp, and a competitive sports program, with a focus on healthy living, life skills, social connection and community participation. More than 500 volunteers support the programs each year.
