UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center
Spain Rehabilitation Center is UAB Medicine's inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation hospital and the hub for its spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke programs. It is designated a Rehabilitation Innovation Center by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and hosts the UAB Traumatic Brain Injury Model System, the UAB Spinal Cord Injury Model System and the National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Data Center. It was Alabama's first Comprehensive Stroke Center and is the only Rehabilitation Innovation Center in its region covering both brain and spinal cord injury.
