Community and Employment Support (CES) Waiver
The CES Waiver is Arkansas's 1915(c) home and community-based services waiver for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, administered by the DDS Waiver Services section. It pays for supportive living, respite, supported employment, supplemental support, community transition services, adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, specialized medical supplies and consultation, so that people can live in the community rather than in a nursing facility or an Intermediate Care Facility. Arkansans of all ages with IDD may apply, but there is a waiting list and people move into slots in the order their eligibility was determined. Once a person is on the waiver their services are managed and paid by their PASSE, not by DDS directly.
