The Sunshine School, Inc.
The Sunshine School began in 1965 under the sponsorship of the Junior Auxiliary with seven students in a converted army barracks and is now a nonprofit K-12 school for students with disabilities in Searcy, with pre-K and adult education programs. It has eighty-one students, nine classrooms, three therapy rooms and a new building funded entirely by community donations. It hosts Special Olympics Area 6.
