Arkansas State Independent Living Council (ARSILC)

Confirmed Profile

The Arkansas State Independent Living Council is the nonprofit council, with a board of governor-appointed Arkansans the majority of whom have disabilities, that writes and monitors Arkansas's State Plan for Independent Living alongside the state's centers for independent living. It promotes freedom of choice and full inclusion for Arkansans with all types of disabilities, and since 2013 has run the annual cross-disability Day at the Capitol. It educates and raises awareness rather than lobbying.
