Southern Arizona Network for Down Syndrome (SANDS)
SANDS supports individuals with Down syndrome and their families across southern Arizona from the moment of diagnosis into adulthood. It runs a new parent program and new parent packets, the Desert Buds and GOLD programs, moms' and dads' nights out, an advisory council, family events and the annual Walk for Down Syndrome. It publishes people-first language guidance and a local and national partner list.
