Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES)
DES is the Arizona state agency that houses the Division of Developmental Disabilities, the Rehabilitation Services Administration (vocational rehabilitation), the Arizona Early Intervention Program, the Division of Aging and Adult Services and Adult Protective Services. For disability services in Arizona, DES rather than the health department is the operational center of gravity: the IDD agency, the Part C lead agency, the VR agency and the State Unit on Aging all sit under one department.
