High Country Adaptive Sports
High Country Adaptive Sports was founded in 2015 to remove barriers to Arizona's mountains, forests and waterways for people with disabilities. It runs adaptive skiing and snowboarding in winter on the San Francisco Peaks in the Arizona Snowbowl area, and kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing in the warmer months, including sessions at Lake Mary and with Flagstaff Climbing. It states that it covers everywhere north of the Phoenix metropolitan area, including Sedona, the Verde Valley, Prescott, Payson, Page and the reservation areas. Need-based scholarships may be available through its athlete portal.
