Area Agency on Aging, Region One
Area Agency on Aging, Region One is the Area Agency on Aging for Region One under the Older Americans Act, designated by the Arizona Department of Economic Security to plan, fund and coordinate services for older adults and, in several programs, for adults with disabilities. Runs a 24-hour Senior HELP LINE on 602-264-4357 or 888-783-7500, the DOVES program for elder abuse, ElderVention behavioral health, family caregiver support, in-home services, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman for its region, benefits assistance, HIV Care Directions and the MOSAIC elder refugee program. It is the front door for older Arizonans and family caregivers in its counties, and it contracts with local providers rather than delivering everything itself.
