Eastern Sierra Transit Authority
ESTA is the joint powers authority providing all public transport in Inyo and Mono counties, the two most sparsely populated counties on the eastern side of the Sierra. It runs Dial-A-Ride paratransit in Bishop, Lone Pine, Walker and Mammoth Lakes, highway express routes north and south along US 395, local trolleys in Mammoth Lakes, and community routes connecting small towns. For a person with a disability in Inyo or Mono, ESTA is effectively the only transport option that exists.
