Exceptional Minds
Exceptional Minds is a nonprofit academy and professional studio in Sherman Oaks that trains autistic young adults for careers in animation, visual effects and game design, and then employs graduates on paid commercial work. Its studios have completed hundreds of projects including Oscar-winning films and every Marvel film since 2015. It reports a ninety-seven per cent graduation rate and teaches through industry professionals. It is the clearest example in the country of a disability arts organization that is also a functioning commercial studio.
