Planning and Service Area II Area Agency on Aging
The Area Agency on Aging for Lassen, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou and Trinity counties. Area Agencies on Aging are the local planning and contracting bodies for Older Americans Act services. They fund and coordinate information and assistance, congregate and home-delivered meals, family caregiver support, health promotion, legal assistance, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman program and Medicare counseling (HICAP), and in many areas they run or partner in the Aging and Disability Resource Connection. Services reach adults with disabilities of any age as well as older adults.
