Sierra Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Sierra Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired has served the foothill communities of Nevada and Placer counties for 44 years from an office on Searls Avenue in Nevada City, at no charge to clients. It provides transportation, peer groups and social gatherings, counseling and education, and help obtaining devices and resources. Anyone in the foothill communities of the two counties whose vision loss changes how they live, read, drive or move about is eligible.
