Special Kids Connect
Special Kids Connect is the family navigation organization for the Monterey Bay area, working from Main Street in Salinas. It publishes a resource directory with professional referrals, diagnosis fact sheets and educational videos, guidance on SSI, IHSS and Medi-Cal, respite resources, emergency preparedness materials, community events and parent support groups. Much of its material is published in Spanish, including Recursos de Respiro and Videos en Español, which matters in a county whose agricultural workforce is largely Spanish-speaking.
