Special Olympics Southern California
Special Olympics Southern California offers twelve sports across four seasons to nearly twenty-five thousand athletes with intellectual disabilities in community and school-based programs across eleven counties. It organizes its work into regions: Region 1 for San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura, Region 2 for Los Angeles, Kern and Inyo, and Region 3 for San Bernardino and Riverside, with further regions covering Orange, San Diego and Imperial counties. It also runs athlete leadership and health and wellness programs. Participation is free to athletes.
