Toward Maximum Independence
Toward Maximum Independence, founded in 1981, supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and people who are deaf or hard of hearing across San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. It runs adult day programs and tailored day services, supported and independent living, and children's and family services. Its combination of developmental disability services with dedicated deaf and hard-of-hearing services is unusual, and it is one of only a handful of providers with a permanent office in Imperial County.
