Early Intervention Colorado

Confirmed Profile

Early Intervention Colorado is the state's IDEA Part C system for infants and toddlers from birth through age two who have a developmental delay or a diagnosed condition likely to lead to one. The lead agency is the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, Office of Program Delivery, Division for Community and Family Support. The state runs a single referral and intake line and a team of care navigators, then hands the family to one of twenty local Early Intervention programs, almost all of them Community Centered Boards, which assign a service coordinator and write the IFSP. Services are provided at no cost to families for evaluation, service coordination and the IFSP itself.
