Colorado Statewide Independent Living Council (CSILC)
CSILC is Colorado's Statewide Independent Living Council, established under Title VII of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 with members appointed by the governor, more than half of whom must have disabilities. It writes and monitors the State Plan for Independent Living, strengthens the state's Centers for Independent Living, advocates for policy change and educates the public about independent living. It states plainly that it is not a direct service provider. It partners with nine Centers for Independent Living across Colorado.
