Independence Northwest is the center for independent living for northwestern Connecticut, based in Naugatuck. It provides information and referral, independent living skills, peer support and advocacy, and it is a long standing broker and support organization for people self-directing their DDS funded supports. It describes itself as a disability advocacy and resource center.
