The Arc Connecticut
The Arc Connecticut is the state chapter of The Arc, a membership and advocacy organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. It does legislative and budget advocacy at the Capitol, runs family leadership and self advocacy programs, and supports the network of local Arc chapters, which in Connecticut are unusually numerous and are themselves large service providers. It was a named plaintiff in the Messier case that governs transitions out of Southbury Training School.
