L'Arche Greater Washington DC
L'Arche Greater Washington DC is part of the international L'Arche federation, in which adults with and without intellectual disabilities share homes and daily life as a community rather than as staff and clients. Residents with intellectual disabilities are called core members. The community runs several homes in the District and the surrounding area and is developing an additional home in north Arlington in partnership with Habitat for Humanity DC-NOVA. It is a faith-rooted community that welcomes people of all beliefs, and it is certified by DDS for residential habilitation and supported living.
