Art Enables
Art Enables is a District nonprofit gallery and studio founded in 2001 that runs a supported employment and vocational training program for adult visual artists with disabilities. Resident artists work in a dedicated studio with materials, professional development and marketing support, and their work is shown and sold in the on-site galleries, with the artist earning income from sales. The organization has generated close to $1.5 million in art sales for its artists since it began. The gallery is open to the public six days a week.
