The Arc of the United States
The Arc of the United States is the national headquarters of The Arc, the largest community-based organization in the country for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. It works on federal policy, litigation, research and public education, supports around 600 state and local chapters, and runs national initiatives including its Center for Future Planning and its criminal justice work. It is headquartered in the District and since 2014 has also managed The Arc of DC under a strategic alliance.
