Florida Agency for Health Care Administration
AHCA is Florida's single state Medicaid agency. It holds the federal authority for the iBudget Florida 1915(c) waiver and delegates day-to-day operation to APD under an interagency agreement, and it licenses and regulates health care facilities statewide. AHCA also runs the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program and, since 2023, the Developmental Disabilities Managed Care pilot (the Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Comprehensive Managed Care Program) delivered through Florida Community Care.
