Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind

Confirmed Profile

FSDB in St. Augustine is Florida's state public school for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired, or deafblind. It is tuition-free and fully accredited, and it is a state agency governed by its own Board of Trustees rather than a local school district. It runs an Early Learning Center and elementary, middle and high school programs from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, with residential provision for students who live too far to commute, and it reaches families across the state through parent-infant and family services delivered off campus. FSDB reports serving over 1,700 children a year across its campus and statewide programs.
