Florida technical and career college FPCTPs: category record

Confirmed Profile

Twenty-two of Florida's forty-one approved Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive Transition Programs are delivered by technical and career colleges rather than by universities or state colleges. Most of these are operated by county school districts, which ConnectIDD does not list as individual organizations, so they are recorded together here rather than omitted. They are a substantial and easily missed part of the postsecondary option for young Floridians with intellectual disabilities, and they reach counties, including Gadsden, Walton, Charlotte and Okaloosa, where no university program exists.
