Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center
Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center, founded in 1985 as Mana-Sota Lighthouse for the Blind, serves Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, DeSoto and Highlands counties from North Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. It runs a young adults program, vocational rehabilitation, independent living, orientation and mobility training, adjustment to vision loss, assistive technology and client and family support.
