Babies Can't Wait

Confirmed Profile

Babies Can't Wait is Georgia's Part C early intervention program, run by the Department of Public Health for infants and toddlers from birth to age three who have a developmental delay or a diagnosed condition likely to cause one. Eligible conditions include blindness, Down syndrome, autism and spina bifida; children can also qualify on a confirmed delay in cognitive, physical, communication, social-emotional or adaptive development. Children are served regardless of family income. Services are delivered locally through Georgia's 18 public health districts, and each family gets an Individualized Family Service Plan built around everyday routines at home and in the community.
