Comprehensive Supports Waiver Program (COMP)

Confirmed Profile

The Comprehensive Supports Waiver Program is the larger of Georgia's two Medicaid home and community-based waivers for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. COMP is for people with more intensive needs and is the only one of the two that funds 24-hour residential support, including community residential alternative (group home and host home) placements, alongside community access, supported employment, skilled nursing, behavioral supports, respite, adaptations and support coordination. Eligibility is the same as for NOW: Medicaid eligibility, an intellectual disability diagnosed before 18 or a related developmental condition before 22, and an intermediate care facility level of need.
