Access to Independence is the federally funded center for independent living for metropolitan Honolulu. It is a consumer-controlled, cross-disability organization offering the five core independent living services: information and referral, independent living skills training, peer counseling, individual and systems advocacy, and transition support both out of institutions and for youth leaving school.
