Special Parent Information Network (SPIN)
SPIN is Hawaii's state-run parent information network, housed in the Department of Health and staffed by parents of children with disabilities. It runs a parent-to-parent warm line, publishes a newsletter and an extensive online resource guide of Hawaii disability services, holds workshops and runs an annual statewide conference. It is the closest thing Hawaii has to a single published index of who does what for families of children with disabilities.
