Hawaii ABLE Savings Program
The Hawaii ABLE Savings Program lets an eligible person with a disability, or someone on their behalf, save and invest money in a tax-advantaged account without the balance counting against SSI resource limits up to the federal threshold, and without affecting Medicaid eligibility. Funds can be spent on qualified disability expenses including housing, transport, assistive technology, education and health. It is administered by the State of Hawaii.
