Hawaii State Department of Health, Med-QUEST Division
Med-QUEST is Hawaii's Medicaid agency, sited in the Department of Human Services, and it is the single state Medicaid authority behind the I/DD Waiver that the Developmental Disabilities Division operates day to day. Med-QUEST enrolls people in Medicaid through QUEST Integration health plans, publishes the 1915(c) waiver amendments for public comment, and covers long-term services and supports for people who are not DDD-eligible. A family usually has to be enrolled with Med-QUEST before DDD waiver services can start.
