Hawaii State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled
The Hawaii State Library for the Blind and Print Disabled, established in 1931, is the Hawaii network library of the Library of Congress National Library Service. It lends audiobooks, braille and magazines free to Hawaii residents who cannot read standard print because of blindness, low vision or a physical or reading disability, and it runs a radio reading service broadcasting news and local publications to registered patrons. Material is posted free of charge, which makes it one of the few Oahu-based services that genuinely reaches every island.
