Hele-On Bus and Paratransit, County of Hawaii Mass Transit Agency
Hele-On is the County of Hawaii's public bus system and its ADA paratransit service, covering the largest island in the state. Paratransit complements the fixed routes for riders whose disability prevents them using the bus. On an island where settlements are a hundred miles apart, the reach and frequency of Hele-On is a direct determinant of whether a person with a disability can hold a job or attend a day program.
