Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Unit
The Therapeutic Recreation Unit of the City and County of Honolulu's Department of Parks and Recreation supports park staff in making city recreation programs accessible to people with disabilities, and runs adapted recreation activities. It is the municipal adaptive recreation service for Oahu and it is free or low-cost, which matters because most adaptive recreation in Hawaii is donor-funded and episodic.
