IAble, Iowa's ABLE Savings Plan
IAble is Iowa's ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) savings and investment program, administered by the Iowa Treasurer of State. It lets eligible Iowans with disabilities save and invest money for qualified disability expenses without losing means-tested benefits such as SSI and Medicaid. Account owners can choose asset allocation portfolios or a checking account option, and Iowa taxpayers get a state income tax deduction on contributions. The program also registers organizations as entities that can manage accounts.
