Central District Health
Central District Health is Idaho Public Health District 4, one of seven independent public health districts governed by a board of health appointed by the county commissioners in its region. The districts are not part of any state agency but deliver many services under contract with the Department of Health and Welfare. Services relevant to people with disabilities include community and home health nursing, developmental screening, oral health, nutrition and environmental health. The district boundaries are the same seven regions DHW uses for its developmental disability and Infant Toddler programs.
